Congrats to all of our boys for crossing over to their next level. Some moving up the ladder of Cub Scouts and others moving up to the Boy Scouts. We wish you all the best of luck in all you do.
Pack 31 was formed in 1938, and has continued to grow and prosper for more than seventy years. Home to Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos. Pack 31 is proud to be a part of the Scouting community. We are very excited to begin a new season of having fun, learning, helping others, doing our best, and having fun.. oh, did i say that already OK well it is one of the most important things about Scouting, so it could be mentioned more than once. Hopefully, this site will be a valuable resource for current and prospective Cub Scouts and their adult companions.
Why is Cub Scouting important? Cub Scouting helps to instill core values: to do his best, help others, and serve God and America. These are just a few of the promises a Cub Scout makes. Cub Scouts are also taught to respect nature, to be kind to those who are different, to be self-sufficient, and many other positive character traits. Along the way, Cub Scouts will get to make new friends, try new things, learn new skills, and visit new places. Being a Cub Scout is a self-esteem building, positive experience, because the boys will belong to a really big team.
We are gearing up and are looking for new boys and adult partners to join us for the 2011/2012 season. We should have lots of fun this year. Some of the things we already have planned are: West Mifflin Community Day Parade, Light the Night Walk, Hallow-boo at Idlewild. and this is only the beginning...
